Read between the lines

Yesterday we went through to Reading. We still haven't heard back from any of the places where we have handed out our CV's yet, so we decided we'd go back to Reading and keep handing out more CV's at more places. We widened our search and included any bars and restaurants we found. I think its going to be much easier finding work in a bar/restaurant than it will be to find work in a retail store.

Other than that, we walked around and managed to find even more places around the High Street area that we had never seen before - a road with nightclubs and a microbrewery, a little church in a park and a modern apartment building with a colourful facade. Should have taken my camera with, but the weather was bleak and I didn't think we would come across anything to photograph as that wasn't our intention for yesterday. I guess it just goes to show that you can find places and things worth photographing even if you aren't necessarily looking for them...

We also got our groceries delivered to us last night, which I have to admit is much more convenient than having to carry all our groceries across a town, through a train station, onto a train and then through Goring and up the stairs into our apartment!

Today we're just going to stay in Goring and do some drawings etc, and possibly go around the town documenting some of the houses and architecture on show around us.
